Our client is seeking to recruit a HR Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR operations and providing strategic guidance to senior management and employees at the international school. The role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating HR policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and the school’s core values. The HR Manager acts as a strategic partner with managers to support staffing, employee development, and organizational initiatives. Additionally, the HR Manager ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, manages HR budgets, and coordinates recruitment, retention, and succession planning efforts. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to
fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and evaluate HR procedures and policies to ensure operational efficiency.
- Administer schoolwide HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with legal requirements.
- Act as a strategic partner with managers to support staffing and employee development initiatives.
- Analyze HR data, prepare reports, and make recommendations on various HR issues.
- Manage, develop, and coach HR and support staff to ensure adherence to school policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage HR budgets effectively.
- Coordinate recruitment, retention, and succession planning processes.
- Assist in managing staff relation issues and recommend appropriate responses to management.
- Support major change initiatives and organizational development efforts.
- Maintain high personal standards of professionalism and promote safeguarding and welfare of children and young persons.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- Experience in successful HR leadership with recent extensive relevant HR experience.
- Special knowledge of performance management in schools and school HR operations.
- Skills in self-management, leadership, organization, communication, and decision-making.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Discretion in handling confidential information and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the British education system and excellent communication skills in English.
- Intercultural communication skills and commitment to equal opportunities.
- Desirable qualifications include a Master’s in HR Management, CHRMK and relevant international experience.
- Required certifications include a Police Clearance Certificate and a Driver’s license.
